Michael Collins is a London-born author, journalist, and broadcaster. He has written for various publications, including the Observer, Guardian, Independent, Telegraph, New Statesman, Esquire, The Spectator, Vogue, Sunday Times. His book The Likes Of Us: A Biography of the White Working Class (2004), published by Granta, won the Orwell Prize in 2005. He wrote and presented the Channel Four film The British Working Class (2005) and The Great Estate (2011), Everyday Eden (2014) for BBC 4. He fronts the NCF films White Privilege? (2021) and Labour’s New Class War (2022). He currently writes for The Critic, POP, Spiked and Arena Homme+, where he is also an Editor-at-Large.
