I love this. I am a Troublemaker, a HUGE fan of Maureen’s incredible writing and of course, The Nerve.

Loved this piece. Between those discussions and the insights you share from your MTV days, it really clicked for me why I love this show so much. It gives me that warm, nostalgic feeling—taking me back to the 90s and early noughties, before social media flattened culture and authenticity became performative.

You manage to transport us back to a time when media felt sharper, funnier, and more honest—while also calling out the exact assholes who’ve made modern media so exhausting. It’s refreshing, cathartic, and genuinely entertaining in a way that feels rare now.

That’s why The Nerve works: it’s real in a world that’s become aggressively inauthentic.

What a great interview.

I could cry with joy: an interview with both parties wonderfully articulate. I admire Maureen because she is an accomplished wordsmith who loves language as much as she loves culture, pop or otherwise.

Mr Collins, you were the perfect choice to interview Maureen. Your love of language is really obvious & you two came off as kindred spirits.

Seems as though you are a Troublemaker, too! 😉

Maureen shines, there is no one like her in any form of media or platform. Just my opinion

Nobody says the word "asshole" better than Maureen! So glad I found The Nerve on Youtube, which led me to discover the fabulous Rob Shuter, as well.

If only she would judge the craziness on the right as much as that on the left she would have a lot more credibility I mean the craziest stuff is going on in the WH and amongst his doting cronies. My opinion.

P.S. this applies 10x when writing to someone who is ill, especially w/terminal diagnosis. Not incidentally this rule applies x100 when greeting a friend in person who has a terminal illness. Please don’t ask, “How are you?” Person is dying so preferable greeting is, “Wonderful to see you.” If friend/family member really looks well, say so, but if they don’t, refrain from fib. Person likely has access to mirror and knows it to be a lie. Instead, “medical staff obviously taking good care of you;” or upon seeing flowers cards, etc, “Look how popular you are;” “saw our friend(name) who asked after you.” Or “That movie we liked so much ( or saw together)was on TV and recall how we laughed/howled/cried.” These suggestions come from a 30 yr hospice volunteer. Mea Culpa to those who saw previous post on this subject, but // to Trump disparagements, if I may say so, deserves repetition.

Might I add to Maureen’s writing rules re letters. For those of us still use paper and pen to communicate: please don’t start, “”How are you?” Instead, “I was thinks about you when I saw, heard, etc.”

Most be why she doesn’t answer me or respond to anything I mail or send via Instagram like hi dsy one watch & even before THE NERVE WAS ANNOUNCED I RECALL the launch of MK MEDIA. Yet to become …many shows and the birth of the nerve being the most significant BUT Maureen I have many times seen you pander to lik

I love it when Maureen screams "get out of here!" She's the hottest thing going.

Enjoyed this interview- Maureen has the nerve to take mainstream down with truthful reporting. It's fun too

What’s her relationship with Nazi Megan Kelly, exactly? Is Maureen MAGA too?
